Expansion Pass

Bubbly Basin

Sunken Cerulean City — Expansion Pass Part 1

The first paid Expansion Pass area, released 5 August 2026 with v2.0.0. Cerulean City now sits on the seabed, and almost all of it is played underwater with the Dive move. Go deep enough and it goes pitch black, so you need light. Crops only grow down here inside bubbles, and buoyant blocks let you build in open water. Six Treasure Maps lead to the six decorative Poké Balls needed for the final habitat, Mermaid's Gym. Manaphy lives here.

Build the Beautiful Building
In Bubbly Basin, after you have made the area reach Environment Level 3, Popplio will come to you and say it has an idea for something for the area. It will take you to a large area and start building the Ocean Temple
In addition to clearing out the large area Popplio asks for it to go, this build requires 50 Star-spotted rock, 30 Stone, 25 Seashell, 10 Shiny Pearl, 10 Seashell Fencing and 2 Ocean Doors to build. However, there are further tasks required as Popplio wants specific Pokémon to help out: The one with coral horns, the one who is good with their claws, the shy spiky one, the one with the big huge mouth, the one with the charming whiskers and the floaty pink one
Some may have already been found at this point. Coral horns is Corsola, the shy spiky one is Mareanie, the one good with their claws is Corphish, the one with the big huge mouth is Totodile, the one with the charming whiskers is Barboach and the floaty pink one is Frillish.
Totodile can be found near the play area after this. It will ask for you to play with it. You start with which way, play hide and seek and then go to a bathroom where it wants to play with a Bubble Machine. Power it up and it will thank you and then come with you to Popplio's build.
Barboach can be found near the Imperial houses by the planned temple area. It will mention that its Seashell Seat is in the dark valley and that it's too scared to go get it. Go further underwater and retrieve it and Barboach will join you.
Frillish can be found near a cave entrance towards the north of the area and will ask for help finding a Starmie Doll. Go through the Cerulean Cave with it and a Dowsing Machine to find the Starmie Doll in some rocks near a Crystal Cluster. It will then join you to the build.
Once the temple is built, you can enter it where you will find that Manaphy has appeared inside and will stay in the area after thanking for the prior help in Bleak Beach.

Important Requests are the story quests you work through with Professor Tangrowth and the area’s Pokémon. Finishing one raises the area’s Environment Level and your Trainer Rank.
