Area 1
Withered Wastelands
Ruins of Fuchsia City
The starting area: a drought-cracked plain where nothing has rained for years. This is where you learn Water Gun from Squirtle and Leafage from Bulbasaur, and where the first story request — getting Slowpoke to yawn up a rainstorm — teaches you the humidity system. Raising humidity to 100 summons Kyogre to the coast, and the rain it brings revives the whole region.

2Important Requests are the story quests you work through with Professor Tangrowth and the area’s Pokémon. Finishing one raises the area’s Environment Level and your Trainer Rank.
Pokémon you only find here
2Most Pokémon will move into any area once you build the habitat they like. These are the few genuinely tied to this one, worked out from the areas each Pokémon lives in on Serebii’s habitat pages.

Raising an area’s Environment Level puts new stock in its shop. An entry marked “recipe” unlocks the crafting recipe rather than the item; click any of them to open its entry.
