What hides in glowing blocks
Glowing blocks rotate to new positions daily. Break them for Lost Relics, Mysterious Slates, fossils and the 43 music CDs — though a few CDs are instead sitting in CD racks in places like the S.S. Anne and the Pewter museum. Lost Relics have to be appraised by Professor Tangrowth before they can be used; from v2.0.0 you can hand over ten at a time.
Human Records — newspapers, notes and journals left by the evacuated humans — are scattered across every area. Beyond filling in the backstory, many of them unlock outfits and emotes.
Highlight Reel
Occasionally the game tells you a photo opportunity is nearby; pull out your camera and a frame appears over a spot. Each opportunity has a condition — a particular Pokémon or group, a particular item that must be active, sometimes a time of day. Completing them fills your Highlight Reel and some award special items or photo frames.
Completing the Pokédex
The main dex holds 300 Pokémon, all obtained by building the right habitat. Rewards drop at regular registration milestones. Fill it completely and you can craft the Neo Dowsing Machine, then take a Search Pokémon to the north-western island of Sparkling Skylands and dig down to a hidden scanner.
Scanning a full Pokédex opens the developer room from Celadon City, which hands you recipes for a printer, a shutter and a card reader — enough to build rooms with real locking mechanisms. The printer inside will print your Pokédex diploma to display wherever you like.
